Some Like it Dirty

I know I'm so, like, three or four years behind, but I've just become a fan of Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe. We used to be the bunny ear cable folk who had to wear tin pie plates on our heads and dance around the May pole just to get TVO and CBC. Now we've got a dish and that means I'm finally watching too many odd shows to be considered normal.

Anyway, I like Mike Rowe a lot. He's actually hilarious. We watched him clean the windows on a huge office building in Hawaii. There was more beeping than I've ever seen on one episode. The audio guy got his long, surfer dude hair caught in a pulley and they had to cut him free with a jack knife.
Did anyone else see this? Okay, I'm going to try to thrift at lunch tomorrow, so I'll stop prattling on about TV shows.

  2. I LOVE Mike Rowe!!! I've been a fan of Dirty Jobs for many years, and yes, I saw that episode you mentioned. He's hilarious and a hottie, IMO. I even watch Ford commercials with way more attention than a person should when he's in them. Love his voice. I have been known to watch other Discovery Channel shows because he does the voice overs on a lot of them. Did I mention I love Mike Rowe? :)

  3. Alright P. I wasn't going to go there in my post, but you've said it. Yes, he is a "hottie." My husband would die of shame if he knew I even said that ironically - LOL. The funny thing is that Mike Rowe is so damn charming and quick-witted. I'm drifting off in "la la la, he's so excellent" land, when I realize he's scraping sheep brain out of some huge vat of animal guts or some such thing. I almost lost my lunch as I watched him go over the edge of that tall building in Hawaii. I'd be the camera guy backing out saying, "I've got a small child I want to be around for."

Thanks as always for your warm comment Linda.

  4. Sounds like a show I would like, unfortunately
we don't get the Discovery channel. :(

I wonder if HGTV may pick it up at some point, or maybe A&E. I could see it running before or after Hoarders. LOL
